WOMBWELL DAM FISHERY

Woodhead Lane, Barnsley, S74 9SZ, Yorkshire, United Kingdom

Two beautiful lakes set in the South Yorkshire countryside. The larger lake (referred to as the bottom lake) is well stocked with Roach, Rudd, Carp (25lb+) and a good head of double figure Bream.
The smaller lake (the top lake) is very well stocked with silvers, F1 Carp and Bream, though lacks the larger Carp available in the bottom lake.

Hi there, I work with young people of school age on engagement. I am looking into obtaining some basic (starter) equipment with a view to taking students fishing at a place known as Wombwell Dam, nr Barnsley, South Yorkshire. I have never fished but would be taking students who have and have an interest in it, likely to be one student at a time. I am aware there will be cost implications, day tickets/year tickets, permit to obtain, but unsure as to exactly what I will need. Any information, guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation, Martin
