Stoney Lane Ponds

Smith's pond is situated in the old Colliery town of Maltby. It is without doubt a very spring, summer and autumn venue. The fishing can be very difficult during cold spells as there isn't a great deal of depth. A small stream that enters at the top end feeds the water and this probably has something to do with the depth as it is only 2ft deep here. The water gradually drops down to a maximum of 4ft deep towards the road and Car park end. Fishing is from 22 comfortable p...

Hanley Park Lake

Pontefract Park Lake is a small water but being in a park and cheap to fish it does get a lot of hammer during the warmer months. It is also a boating lake and suffers from the dogs and sticks landing in you swim. There is a walkway around the circumference, which makes most of the pegs ideal for anglers with disabilities. The area does suffer somewhat from petty crime and damage, so take extra care of your tackle or valuables. Regardless of this it does hold a good head...

Tinkers Pond lies just on the outskirts of Barnsley still within the city limits. There are two waters to choose from, known as top and bottom ponds. The top pond is close to good parking, and the pegs offer hard standing with specially designed pegs for wheel chair anglers. Halsham Pond
(1)

Three small ponds in nice surrounding. I have found the largest pond fishes best, although all produce a good bag of fish – there’s a pub at the back that’s always handy for a quick lunch time pint. Although these ponds are small they produce some good fish and plenty of them. Always best to get there early.

Dalton Lane, Hull, HU12 0, East Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom

Lambwath Lakes
(1)

This is a fairly new 5 lake complex that has been in existence for a little over 3 years. Some of the pegs are suitable for disabled anglers, but the Moat pond is best suited for anglers with disabilities (ask the bailiff if you can take the car round - if dry he usually agrees). There are toilet facilities available on site. With the water being close to the coast and being fairly sparse in terms of bank-side cover it does suffer with the wind. Parking is conveniently s...

Barton Broads
(1)

When you first see this place you would think it was a number of small waters. When you walk around it you will see that it is in fact just a large water that had many different areas and cuttings in which to fish. Standing at one corner of the lake is the owner's house, which looks impressively over all his hard work. If you have to ask directions to the lake it might be easier to ask for it by the locals name for it, which is "Barry's lake". The water is about 9 to 10...
